In past years, the Leidy Rhoads Foundation and the Frank and Amanda Hartman Fund were established to support local residents in pursuing additional training and education, and assist them in obtaining “gainful occupations.”

The Leidy Rhoads Foundation was established to provide training and higher education for the people in the Borough of Boyertown. In a like manner, the Frank and Amanda Hartman Educational Fun benefits individuals attending colleges or universities and are a resident of the townships of Colebrookdale, Douglass-Berks or Douglass-Montgomery in addition to the borough of Boyertown. The distribution amount last year through both funds was $96,000.

New applications are available on the BASH website under the “Resources” tab, listed as “School Counseling.” From there, the scholarships can be found through a tab on the left hand side – Scholarship Information.
