Kindergarten at The Kings Academy has been a great adventure for Berks County Lil Dairy Miss Kalina Rhoads.
She enjoys helping pack her snack and lunch to take to school with her each day. She makes sure that she includes some of her favorites – bologna and cheese cubes, a tube of yogurt, a ham and cheese sandwich, a yogurt smoothie, a stick of string cheese, a bottle of chocolate milk – so many choices!
She wanted to share a little trick that helps keep her dairy products cold until it is time to enjoy them. Freeze a yogurt tube or smoothie overnight and it becomes an instant ice pack for the lunch box and melts just in time to enjoy at lunch! This tip makes it so easy to have three servings of dairy – milk, cheese and yogurt – every day!
