Ontelaunee Community Grange # 1617 recently held it’s annual community night program. Entertainment for the evenings program was music by The Singing Miller Brothers.

The Community Service Committee gave donations to Aaron’s Acres in the amount of $ 700; the Keystone Military Families in the amount of $ 700; and Kenneth & Sharon Schlegel in the amount of $ 250, who are members of Fleetwood Grange who lost two barns and their cattle due to a fire on the family farm December 8, 2015.

Members awards were given to members for continuous years of membership to the Grange.

Those receiving awards are as follows: Carol Etchberger, 60 years; Fern Kulp, Ralph Lutz, Claude and Marie Ohlinger, Florence Riegel, John and Shirley Weist, 50 years; Eleanor Catherman, Ricky Manwiller, 45 years; Mary Haag, Lorrie Wesner, 40 years; Donna Hummel, Constance Troutman, 35 years; Marlene Adams, Tina Blatt, Jeffrey Davis, Lynn Emerick, Charles Fabo, Victoria Wagner, 30 years; Thomas Gauby, 20 years; John and Donna Lutz, 15 years; Michael Hummel, Diane Wagner, Larry and Marilyn Zimmerman, 10 years; and Larry Blatt, Alicia Haag, Audrey Kirkhoff, Kenneth and Linda Snyder, 5 years.

The evening ended with door prizes, refreshments and fellowship.

Ontelaunee Community Grange meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Anyone interested in learning more about the Grange please call 610-926-2987. There is also a Junior Grange for the children between the ages of five and 14.

The Grange also serves breakfast the first Sunday of the month, September through May, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the breakfast help to fund Community service Projects.
