The following students represented Kutztown Area School District at the Berks Junior High County Festival on Saturday, April 9 at Muhlenberg High School.
Band: Evan Nygard, Isaiah Nygard, Nicholas Perella, Cassandra Friehauf, Molly Brown, Marina Schnell, Kaylen Leiby, Zachary Watson, Connor O’Neil and Logan Boyer.
Chorus: Cassandra Friehauf, Asher Cooper, Evie Mace, Owen Kulp, Zachary Watson, Kaylen Leiby, Morgan Claypoole and Julian Tich.
Orchestra: Cassandra Frihauf, Evan Nygard, Isaiah Nygard, Nicholas Perella, Zachary Watson and Ryujin Jensen.
The band was conducted by Dr. William Ciabatarri, associate professor of music and director of instrumental ensembles at Lycoming College. The chorus was under the direction of Donna Knott, director of York County Junior Honors Choir, and the orchestra was directed by Kenneth Bean, music director/conductor of the Young People’s Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley.
