The Kutztown police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday, April 9, at approximately 3 a.m.

The suspect(s) approached a 20-year-old male college student near the intersection of West Main Street and South Baldy Street. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s backpack. The suspect then struck the victim in the head with the handgun and took the backpack.

As a result of an investigation, the Kutztown Borough police have developed two suspects in the robbery case. The male wearing the darker colored hoodie may go by the nickname “Floppy.” The male with the light hoodie, red shirt and Phillies cap may be named “Chris.”

The suspect(s) fled in a white Volvo S40.

The police are asking that anyone who witnessed this robbery or has information regarding the identity of the persons or vehicle to contact the Kutztown police at 610-683-3545.
