The Pennsylvania Technology Student Association holds a state level competition each spring in western Pennsylvania. Conestoga Christian School students excelled at the TSA State Competition April 13 to 16 in Seven Springs.

The high school team of Tyler Brenner, Jeremy Latshaw and Cody Zook placed first in Electronics Research and Experimentation. First timers at States Jaeden Schreier and Jacob Vannoy, both in middle school, placed third in Electrical Applications and Delta Dart (a glider), respectively. High school student Dawson Carter placed third in Flight Endurance. Other CCS students also placed, including Carissa Earnest, Ethan Vannoy and Ji Wun Kim.

Competition at TSA States continues to grow stiffer as additional schools, including more and more private schools, get involved each year. At this year’s state competition, 49 chapters and 677 middle school students were in attendance. As for high school, 1184 students from 90 different chapters competed. Adult attendees included 480 Advisors, guests, visitors and judges.
