Runners of all ages, gather your family, friends and coworkers for Immaculate Conception Academy’s “ICA 5K” and 1 Mile FUN Run/Walk fundraiser on Saturday, May 21. Walkers are also invited to participate using the same course.
The ICA 5K is hosted by the Immaculate Conception Academy Home and School Organization. The proceeds will benefit the students of ICA with funding for new technology equipment and fitness and sports equipment.
The race and fun run/walk will be held at the historic Daniel Boone Homestead, 400 Daniel Boone Road, Birdsboro. Both the 5K and the 1 Mile FUN Run course will be out-and-back.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m., with the 5K Run beginning at 8 a.m. At 8:45 a.m., the FUN Run/Walk will begin, and at 9:30 a.m. will be the awards presentation at the finish line. Medals for the 5K will be presented to Overall Male and Female Champion. Medals will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age brackets: nine and under, 10-14 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years and 60 and over.
