Berks Technical Institute (BTI) announced the winners of its High School Scholarship Program and honored the students at the 14th Annual Scholarship Award Banquet on Wednesday, May 11 at the Golden Oaks Country Club in Fleetwood. The program awards six high school seniors scholarships to help cover the cost of tuition – three covering 50 percent of tuition (BTI President’s Scholarship) and three covering 25 percent of tuition (BTI Director’s Scholarship). The scholarship winners were selected from a group of 17 finalists. More than 180 applicants went through a submission process including an essay, exam and interview session with industry professionals. Scholarship winners included two Hamburg High School students, Samantha Lesniak and Kelsey Brandstatter, who both received President’s Scholarships.
