Representative Marcy Toepel (R-Montgomery) will host a Healthy Living Expo on Thursday, June 9, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Green Lane Fire House, located at 214 Main Street in Green Lane.

“This expo gives residents the opportunity to learn about resources and programs provided by not only the county and state government but local nonprofit and community groups in our area as well,” said Toepel. “As always, there is no cost to attend this fun, informative event for people of all ages.”

“I encourage residents to join their community members to learn about resources and programs available to benefit their health,” Toepel said. “County and state agencies, as well as area non profits, will be prepared to help expo attendees maintain their health.”

Residents ages 65 and older are encouraged to bring their driver’s license or photo identification to apply for SEPTA’s Senior Photo ID to ride for one dollar. Veterans who bring their DD214 and photo identification will receive a veteran’s discount card for use at more than 450 Montgomery County businesses.

Various health screenings will be offered at the expo, including blood pressure, body mass index, bone density and vision. Information will also be available about food nutrition, first aid, physical fitness and smoking cessation programs. For a complete list of the Healthy Lifestyles Expo offerings, please visit Toepel’s website at www.RepToepel.com.

There is no need to RSVP for this free event. Please call Toepel’s district office at 610-323-3299 with any questions about the expo.
