Join us for a day of science fun at the Berks County Heritage Center as we explore several exciting topics, on Wednesday, June 22 at 10 a.m.

A member of the Berks County Amateur Astronomy Society (www.berksastronomy.org) will be on hand to answer questions about the starts in the night sky. We will explore food science, such as why certain foods react to other foods (such as yeast), which foods float (and why others don’t) and experiments you can do with food. Explore plants, how certain ones grow, whether they are fruits or vegetables and how to color flowers through their stems.

Try your hand at science experiments and make a project to take home. This program is for ages seven through 12 and is limited to 20 students. There is a cost per student due at registration by Thursday, June 16 by calling 610-374-8839.

The Berks County Heritage Center is located at 1102 Red Bridge Road, Bern Township (just off Route 183 and immediately north of the St. Joseph Medical Center).

This program is presented by the Berks County Parks and Recreation Department. For more information, call 610-374-8839, visit www.countyofberks.com/parks or check us out on Facebook.
