Charles S. Mory, Jr. and wife Cindy Mory attended the time capsule opening during the recent Boyertown celebration. Charles is the great-grandson of Charles A. Mory, one of the founders of Boyertown Burial & Casket Co. and National Penn Bank. His parents (Charles S. Mory, Sr. and Elizabeth Schearer Mory) grew up in Boyertown. Charles Sr. moved to Harrisburg in the late 1940s to manage the casket company’s office there; Elizabeth’s family owned and operated the Mansion House restaurant and hotel (now Durango’s) for 50 years, and the family also owned and operated the Yellow House in Oley. The rich history of the time capsule was a delight for Charles Jr. and Cindy.
