Saturday evening, June 4 from 7 to 9 p.m., the Kutztown Park Bandshell will host the widely known and popular local indie rock band Frog Holler. They will be performing as part of this year’s Borough of Kutztown’s “2016 Concert Series in the Park,” and are billing this as a New CD Release event, as they celebrate their 20th year in existence.
Frog Holler, under the leadership of Darren Schlappich, has been entertaining crowds throughout the area and Eastern Pennsylvania since forming in 1996, and have released several recordings, CDs and more over the years. They have been a regular in the annual Concert Series and always provide great music and entertainment to a large following. They are very musically and vocally talented and have played for many performances in our area. They are a delight to watch and listen to. They will entertain the audience with electric guitar, mandolin, banjo and fiddle, producing sounds of a mixture in their repertoire of bluegrass, indie-rock, country-bluegrass, folk and mixes of rock/country/folk all wrapped into one.
They will delight the crowd with many favorites and many songs they wrote and recorded, right here in Berks County. Come early for a seat, as Frog Holler has been a popular group in our Concert Series for several years and they usually fill the seats, especially with this special CD release event in celebration of their 20th anniversary.
The concert is free to the public and is part of the Borough of Kutztown “2016 Concert Series in the Park,” and will be held rain or shine in the covered Kutztown Park Bandshell.
