At Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy, we have a simple formula to develop good martial artists. Good habits breeds discipline; discipline breeds skill; skill breeds confidence. Once a student experiences this formula or way of learning, it inspires them to use this formula at home, in school and in life. At The Academy, we are not just teaching a “sport” or “activity,” we are teaching lessons for life. These life lessons, students can apply “on the mat” and “off the mat.”
Testing or earning ones belt in Tae Kwon Do is a matter of mastering the skills set forth at that particular belt or rank level. Students generally train on these skills anywhere from three to five months before they test for their next level. Students train two times a week, some more for three to five months, the skills develop and the confidence grows as the students enters Belt Promotion Night.
Belt Promotion Night is the most exciting time in The Dojang (Academy). So, now we celebrate the next group of testers! Deputy Golds are earned by Jatin Raje, Corey Deputy, K.C.
