The deadline is fast approaching for residents to enter the 4th Annual Home Garden Contest. This contest expanded from Pottstown into Boyertown this year, bringing Boyertown its first official gardening contest.
During the borough’s monthly council meeting on June 6, Adrianne Blank of Building a Building Boyertown noted that the contest is still accepting entries. The deadline to register is Friday, June 17, by 5 p.m.
Blank said there are only a handful of Boyertown residents signed up for the contest so far.
All types of gardens can enter – with categories such as children, adults, flowers, and vegetables. Experienced gardeners and beginners are encouraged to participate. The MOSAIC Community Land Trust is collaborating with Building a Better Boyertown for this year’s event, with Pottstown Health and Wellness as the sponsor.
