The Hamburg Community Wildlife Habitat Committee is holding its fourth annual Garden Tour on Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The gardens presented each year are all certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a wildlife habitat garden. Each year, tour participants receive a booklet highlighting photos from the previous year’s gardens as well as a map of the tour route.
The tour starts and ends at the pavilion in the Hamburg Park at the corner of Island and 2nd Streets. Door prizes will be drawn at 1:30 p.m. at the pavilion.
There will be five gardens featured this year, two of which were featured in the past. Both of these gardens have new additions, such as low maintenance islands, a spiral herb garden and a key hole garden. In addition, the other three gardens feature fruit and vegetable plots, herbs, wetlands and a cottage style garden.
Advanced tickets are available for purchase at Our Town Foundation, 335 State Street and at the State Farm Office, 124 S. 3rd Street, both in Hamburg. Tickets are also available the day of the tour. For additional information, contact Kay at 610-562-4329.
