Lyn Camella-Rich, Michael Rivera and Marilu Rodriguez-Bauer have been elected as new members of Berks County Community Foundation’s board of directors. Their terms begin July 1.

Board member Eric Burkey, president of Burkey Group, was reelected to an additional term.

Lyn Camella-Rich has been co-owner and artist at Dancing Tree Creations Artisans Gallery and Studio in Boyertown since 2010. In 2007, she retired as a vice president and resident director at Merrill Lynch after a career of 28 years there. She serves as vice president of the board of Building a Better Boyertown and she has been a member of Berks County Community Foundation’s investment committee for more than 10 years.

Michael Rivera is vice president of business development at the Berks County division of RIG Financial Solutions in Spring Township. He was previously assistant vice president of small business services at the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He serves on the boards of Berks County Latino Chamber of Commerce, Little Acts of Love, West Lawn United Methodist Church and other organizations.

In 2011, Marilu Rodriguez-Bauer founded RB Legal Counsel LLC, Wyomissing. Prior to starting her own law firm, Rodriguez spent more than a decade in legal practice. She previously served as Corporate Counsel at EnerSys. She serves on the board of the United Way of Berks County. She is a former board member of the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry. She is also a former board member and former chair of the Berks County Latino Chamber of Commerce.

Both the Berks County division of RIG Financial and RB Legal Counsel LLC are former clients of Jump Start Incubator, which is a joint project of the Community Foundation and the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center. Providing space and support services to entrepreneurs, Jump Start helps clients during critical start-up periods and accelerates the commercialization of new businesses.

Burkey joined Burkey Construction Co. in 2004 after working for The Clark Construction Group based out of Bethesda, Maryland. In 2006, Eric was promoted to president of Burkey Construction and the management company, Burkey Group. In 2011, Eric became the sole owner of Burkey Construction and Associated Construction & Management. He has served in various volunteer capacities for local nonprofits.
