For the ninth consecutive year, the greater Boyertown region will be center-stage in late-June, as the 24-hour Relay For Life of Boyertown takes place at the spacious Boyertown Community Park, South Madison Street, Boyertown.

The 2016 version is set for Saturday to Sunday, June 25-26, from 10 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Relay For Life is sanctioned by the American Cancer Society and is all about cancer awareness and reearch and “fighting the fight.”

The “Boyertown Relay” is truly a community event – open to the public and no admission charge.

The 24-hour extravaganza includes ceremonies, great food, music, games, fellowship and much more.

Included: Survivor and Luminaria ceremonies, Live and Silent Auctions, concert by the Boyertown Alumni Ceremonial Band, Sunday Sunrise Worship Service, Battle of Pizza Shops, kids’ activities, more live music, etc. The Survivor Cemeory will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday with a speech from caregiver Lori Hojeki followed by our Grand Marshall Holly Bishop Hapstak.
