A new sign on Constitution Blvd. directs readers along a walking path to Kutztown Community Library on Bieber Alley. Another new sign greets them at the entrance to the building.
“So now people can find the Kutztown Community Library,” said Library Director Janet Yost. “We’re really glad that they’re up. It’s been a long time coming. It took us several years to get the project done.”
The Friends of the Kutztown Community Library sponsored the signs and made them possible. The Friends gave $2,000 to cover the expenses of the project which cost a total of $3,847 for the two signs.
“We are so thankful.”Fegely Signs, Maxatawny, installed the signs on June 16.
“It’s just so colorful and bright. We used our logo and matched the colors around the edges to the logo.”
The logo is the image of the building.
“The top of the roof is a book, we like that. And then the four panes reflect the windows (of the library),” said Yost.
The library logo was designed by Kutztown University students during a Design-A-Thon several years ago.
