Time flies when you’re having fun! It is hard to believe that another Pre-Kindergarten class has graduated from The Whole Child Learning Center. On Saturday, June 3, The WCLC held its graduation ceremony and proudly watched 28 children march down the aisle to “Pomp and Circumstance.” There wasn’t a dry eye in the room during their captivating performance. The graduates were so excited to show off the things they have learned. Their performance included songs with German, Spanish and Sign Language as well as a heart-warming solo from one of the graduates that melted everyone’s hearts.

Each year, graduation day brings about so many emotions for the staff of The WCLC. Many teachers joined the ceremony this year because they had the graduates as infants, toddlers and preschoolers. They are so proud of these children that have become such a special part of their WCLC family over the years and have no doubts that they are well prepared for their future educational experiences. A special thank you to Miss Donna and Miss Danielle for not only loving the children, but for preparing them so well for their futures. Knowing that these children will have a positive school experience is one of the best feelings for the staff on graduation day. The WCLC looks forward to many of the graduates joining their before and/or after school programs as well as their amazing Quest Camp.

It is always very sad for The WCLC to say goodbye to any of their families but after 12 years of being in business, children grow up. This is the most difficult part of being in the childcare business for all of the staff at The Whole Child Learning Center.

This is what one of The WCLC families had to say about their experience at The WCLC:

“The time has come for our family to say goodbye to The Whole Child Learning Center. We leave your center with a tear in our eye, because it signifies that our children have grown. The Whole Child has never been a day care that our children have attended, rather it has been a true learning and nurturing environment. We started our family’s journey back in 2008, and never imagined how much a part of OUR lives this center would become. While our children learned at The Whole Child Learning Center, so did we as parents and caregivers. We learned that rather than speaking in negatives (stop running), how to help our children make better choices (use walking feet). These behavioral modifications that we, as parents and caregivers, learned during our time here, with the guidance of your incredible teachers, has helped us over the years in the raising of our children. The tools that you provide to your parents is invaluable. The teachers that are a part of your center embrace their positions. Each one of them has made an impact on our children. From the infant room to the after-school program, there is learning each step of the way. Your learning center helped to give our children the advantage of full preparedness for the leap into Kindergarten, and gave them the tools to confidently succeed in both Kindergarten and beyond. Over the years, we have utilized all that your facility has had to offer from dance and karate, to after school and summer camp programs. Each of these programs has enriched our children’s learning and made it FUN to go to SCHOOL, as we call WCLC our family!”
