Fleetwood Girl Scout Service Unit recently presented the Friend Award to Maidencreek Township and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fleetwood. The Friend Award is an award that is supported by a nomination and several endorsements. It is not given lightly.
The Girl Scouts in this area are extremely grateful for the Maidencreek Township for offering a safe and available meeting place for troops to meet in. They offer use of their signage in the area as well as their parks and other township properties. They value Girl Scouting and the volunteers that support the program as well.
St. Paul’s Lutheran in Fleetwood allows several troops to meet in their building and share the facilities and their property for troop meetings and ceremonies. They also support the adult volunteers with a meeting place for monthly meetings and celebrations during the year, for First Aid and CPR trainings, Service Unit events and community service projects performed by the troops, as well as Mother/Daughter and Father/Daughter events.
The Fleetwood Girl Scout Service Unit serves all girls in the Fleetwood Area School District from kindergarten through 12th grade. It is with the deepest and most sincere thanks that the local Girl Scouts, along with Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, thank Maidencreek Township and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fleetwood.
