The Mifflin Community Library will present Charlie Zahm in a free concert on Sunday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mohnton Memorial Park Bandshell, Walnut Street, Mohnton, for the second performance of its 2016 Summer Concert Series.

With a strong baritone voice, and accompanied by his own expert craftsmanship on the guitar, Charlie has become one of the most successful performers on the traditional music festival circuit, weaving magical moments of Scottish, Irish and American history for the listener and viewer, with passion for the performance and a chosen repertoire pleasing to all members of the family.

Charlie will be again joined by fantastic Baltimore fiddler Tad Marks and great Landenberg guitarist Steve Hobson. Tad has toured extensively across the U.S. and Europe with top-name groups and is considered one of the finest fiddlers on the East Coast. Steve is an excellent guitarist, and has played with Charlie at many festivals, concerts and recording events over the last 15 years. All three look forward to returning to Mohnton!

Charlie has released a 26th CD, another wonderful collection of traditional music from across the British Isles and North America. Again accompanied by Tad and Steve on the CD, it shows the trio’s fond appreciation of time-honored traditional song, with their own flair for arrangement to always make the selections sound fresh.

The Sin City Band, featuring Steve Hobson on guitar, will play the final concert on Aug. 14.
