A Community Festival will take place at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish from Wednesday, Aug. 24 through Saturday, Aug. 27, 6 to 11 p.m., located at Swamp Pike and Neiffer Road in Limerick Township.

The eighth annual Festival features amusement rides by Tons of Fun, a bungee jump and rock wall by Bruster’s of Limerick, live music, children’s games, adult games of chance, pony rides, balloon art, bingo, a bake table, cash and prize raffles (grand prize $5,000), a Beer and Wine Garden and a Business Expo. This year’s premium sponsors are Palmerio Plumbing (Entertainment Pavilion), DS Pool Service (Platinum), Kelly’s Worldclass Automotive (Platinum), Houck & Gofus (Raffle Ticket), McCormack Homes (Beer Garden), Dolan Law Group (Gold) and Complete Family Eyecare (Gold).

A full menu of delicious homemade Italian, Polish and American foods is available nightly, plus Capt’n Chucky’s seafood. Wednesday features a Ride Wristband for pay-one-price amusement rides along with Beer Garden Trivia.

The Festival live music schedule includes (along with DJ Rich Sheldon): on Aug. 25, What’s Next (classic rock band) plus Matt Spitko (country, blues and folk); Aug. 26, John Seitz, Sean Royle Smith & Mr. Mike (acoustic rock) plus Anakai Ney (soulful jazz); and Aug. 27, Dibbs Preston & the Detonators (rockabilly/swing band) plus Dan O’Brien (acoustic rock).

Two specialty bingos will be held at the Festival: Designer Bag Bingo on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. and Gift Card Bingo on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. (indoor events, rain or shine, doors open at 6 p.m.). The Bingo admission price includes 20 games, plus one bonus game for advance ticket holders. Purchase tickets at the door, or in advance after weekend Masses or online at www.btcfestival.org.
