HONEY BROOK TOWNSHIP >> Pennsylvania State Police at the Embreeville barracks are investigating a fatal crash that left a motorcyclist dead July 17.

According to state police, the motorcyclist stopped legally on Route 322, waiting to turn left onto Reservoir Road, when the front-left end of a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe reportedly struck the rear motorcycle tire of the 1982 Sportster Harley-Davidson.

The crash occurred at about 4:50 p.m., according to police.

The victim reportedly flew through the air before landing on the road, police said. The Chester County Coroner’s Office declared the victim dead at the scene at 5:30 p.m.

Police did not release the name of driver of the Hyundai, and have not yet identified the victim pending notification of family members.
