The Frystown Lions Club welcomed District Governor Gus Meyer at the club’s recent meeting held at the Argot club members’ home on Frystown Road.
As the club and its guests met for dinner, DG Meyer shared some of his experiences and insights from the Lions International gathering in Japan where he and other District Governors in attendance were formally recognized and installed.
For the Frystown Club installation, DG Meyer delineated each officer’s duty and asked each proposed officer if he or she would fulfill the obligations of their respective position diligently.
After receiving an affirmative reply, the officers were duly installed. Serving the club for the 2016-17 Lions program year are Dennis Zerbe, president; Don Almond, vice president; Adele Argot, secretary; Bob Edris, treasurer; and Bob Snyder, director/membership chair.
DG Meyer presented Lions president Zerbe with a gavel signifying his position of club leadership.
The club envisions growing and increasing its service to community, country and the world.
Dinner meetings are generally held at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at Esther’s Diner in Fredericksburg.
