Digital First Media staffAMITY >> Sunday, July 17, was First Responder Appreciation Day in Amity Township at St. Paul’s UCC. This is one of many events recently hosted by Thunder Outreach Ministries to honor local first responders.

Fire fighters from Birdsboro Union Fire Department, Monarch Fire Company, and Amity Fire Company in addition to law enforcement officials from Amity Township Police Department, and emergency medical technicians participated in the event.

Organizers noted a special thanks to Ken Biles for planning the service, St. Paul’s Ladies Aid for preparing the luncheon, Chaplain Mark Malizzi for being a “divine instigator” and for State Representative David Maloney for support.
