Shilpa L. Moser was awarded the honor of being chosen and presented with a plaque as the “Citizen of the Year” by the Shoemakersville Area Lions Club. The presentation was made by Immediate Past President Lion James W. Seifert at the Annual Carnival of the Shoemakersviille Area Lions Club that was held on July 22 and 23 at the Shoemakersville Park. Mrs. Moser is greatly involved in the Shoemakersville Recreation Board, especially involved with the activities at the Shoemakersville Park and the Children’s Fair held in May of each year. Former recipients of this award were: (1979) Lloyd Berg; (1983) Emily Sabold; (1984) Shirley Santilli; (1985) Andrew Kuzan; (1990) Earl Gilbert; (1993) Pat Hume; and (1994) Arlene Adam.
