Jesse Rothacker of Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary presented a Family Reptile Show during the Kutztown Community Library Summer Reading Program at Kutztown Park on Aug. 4.
Sponsored by the Kutztown Community Library, the show was part of the Summer Reading Program, which features the theme “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read!”
Rothacker brought various snakes, including a Burmese Python and a Ball Python; an African tortoise, George the box turtle, a bearded dragon and other reptiles.
He asked young volunteers to help with the show, even putting three snakes on one boy, Colton, who was celebrating his 6th birthday. The crowd sang to Colton while he stood on the bandshell stage.
After the show he offered each child the chance to pet a ball python.
