WEST POTTSGROVE >> Police have arrested a man after he was allegedly part of a physical altercation and attempted to flee from officers.

Darrell Glasco, 20, of Lancaster, has been charged after West Pottsgrove Police said Saturday that at 3:39 a.m. they were dispatched to the 7-Eleven store located at 1057 W. As the first officer arrived, the man, later identified as Glasco, fled on foot and police began to chase him. After about 90 minutes, Glasco was taken into custody. A single-bladed knife was located during the search for Glasco, according to police.

West Pottsgrove Police were assisted on the scene by Douglass (Mont.) Police, Pottstown Police, Upper Pottsgrove Police and North Coventry Police.

Glasco has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned on Aug. 6 before District Judge Walter F. Gadzicki and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 18 before District Judge Scott T. Palladino. He was unable to post the set $7,000 cash bail and is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
