Autumn Hawk Watch: Daily, Aug. 15 through Dec. 15. Trail fee for non-members. Join official counter at North Lookout to watch for raptor migrants and other birds. Staff, trainees and volunteers on hand to help visitors spot and identify. Learn about migration and in-flight ID tips.

Night Hike to South Lookout: Aug. 18, 8-9 p.m. Cost involved, reduced for members. Join a Sanctuary educator for a fully-guided and moderate one hour walk. Covers one mile of gravel paths over natural terrain with a gradual incline. Sturdy footwear recommended, flashlights or head lamps with red light permitted. Registration required. Limited to 15 participants.

Brownie Girl Scout Hike: Aug. 19 from 9 am – 1 p.m. $5 per girl, free for Members. Brownies entering grades 2 and 3 invited to earn 4 requirements for Hiker Badge and 2 steps toward Outdoor Adventure Badge. Learn trail etiquette, safety, how to follow trail signs, and how and what to pack for a day hike. After an introduction to raptor identification, scouts hike to North Lookout to enjoy the fall migration and lunch. Nature scavenger hunt in return hike.
