The Chester County 4-H program held a public speaking and presentation contest at the Romano 4-H Center of Chester County on Rt. 322, Honey Brook as part of the 4-H Fair Week. Seven 4-H members gave presentations. Brenda Williams of Downingtown was the judge for event.

Frank Reith of West Grove spoke about being a goat showman and was the top of the senior age group. Emily Lytle of Lincoln University gave a captivating presentation on storytelling and was the reserve champion in the senior age group. Joan Difilippo of Coatesville gave presentation and demonstration on gymnastics winning her age group and Stephen Stewart of Coatesville and Xavier Reith of West Grove highlighted the parts of a goat in the junior age group. Receiving honorable mentions were Savannah Barber and Suzanna Angstadt of Coatesville who spoke together about miniature horses.

The 4-H program promotes life skill development including communication skills. The Chester County 4-H public speaking contest is one of the many shows that take place during the Chester County 4-H Fair, held August 8- 13, 2016 at the Romano 4-H center of Chester County.
