Sam Schmidthuber, 15, of Morgantown, recently returned home from Nashville after recording his first album, including his own original songs he wrote, as well as other songs.
The up-and-coming singer and guitar player recently entered the crowd at the Honey Brook Music Fest food pantry benefit at Honeybrook Golf Club on Aug. 27. He performed George Strait tunes and other country favorites.
Sam is a frequent entertainer at the Golf Club and also travels the state preforming at carnivals, restaurants and such.
“I want to be a country music star,” he said.

He recently auditioned for America’s Got Talent on a pass from a show producer, and won the 2016 PA Farm Show Has Talent Contest. When not performing his own shows, he is frequently a guest singer for local bands.”
Sam is a student at High Point Baptist Academy in Birdsboro.
