Fleetwood Borough Police Chief Steven Stinsky reports that a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt was found disabled and unattended, with the airbags deployed, in a field at Richmond Road and Hefner Lane in Richmond Township at 8 p.m. on Sept. 25.
About 100 feet of skid marks led to an embankment which was struck by the vehicle before it entered the field and became disabled.
Investigation led to the residence of the vehicle’s owner who was identified as Darrell Rothermel, 33, Fleetwood, who displayed classic signs of intoxication and was taken into custody, processed and returned to his residence.
Charges are pending receipt of laboratory results.
