A little of cooperation and planning between the organizers of the Appalachian RV Resort’s 6th Annual Car & Bike Show in Shartlesville and Salem-Berne UMC’s 12th Annual Country Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show in Hamburg, held earlier in the day, went a long way on Sept. 24.

Not only were both events successful but the coordination allowed many car enthusiasts to participate in two shows on the same day, a rarity in this hobby.

Appalachian’s Car and Bike show had 33 vehicles, a record turnout for the annual event.

Cruiser’s Choice was awarded to Tim Yocum of Allentown and his 1965 Plymouth Satellite. People’s Choice was awarded to Robert Frey of Pennsburg and his 1967 Ford Mustang.

Appalachian RV Resort’s 6th Annual Car & Bike Show trophy winners:

Bikes

First Place: Mike Correll and his 2013 Harley Road Glide CVO (East Stroudsburg)

Second Place: Carl Hess and his 2011 Harley Heritage (Hamburg) Third Place: Tom DeLancy and his 2014 Indian Chief Vintage (Hamburg)

Cars

First Place: Jim Hornberger and his 1969 Chevy Camaro (Ephrata)

Second Place: Glenn Snyder and his 1955 Crown Victoria (Kempton)

Third Place: Rick and Linda Baum and their 1932 Ford Roadster (Sinking Spring)

Look for both shows on the same date again next year and mark Sept. 30 on your calendar if you don’t want to miss them!
