International recording artist Frank Turner visited Young Ones in Kutztown Sept. 23 before he started his U.S. tour in Reading that night.

“We had about 50 fans, which is pretty awesome in the middle of the day on less than 48 hours notice,” said Young Ones co-owner Caecilia Holt. “Frank was very personable and spent time with each and every person there.”

Turner began a 17 city tour across the U.S. and Canada. The first show of the tour was Sept. 23 at Reverb in Reading. Earlier that day, fans could get up close and personal with the artist at Young Ones in Kutztown.

“He arrived at the record store at noon and hung out with fans until 2 p.m.,” said Holt. “His 2015 record, ‘Positive Songs For Negative People’ was available for purchase on CD and vinyl, and customers had the chance to have them personally autographed. Turner’s music is a personal favorite of several of the Young Ones staff who were very excited to learn Wednesday that he would be making a special visit to their shop.”
