A father, daughter and grandson rode 90 miles in the MS City to Shore bike ride on Sept. 24, 2016. Michael Zangari, Leon Balthaser, and Julie Zangari have been riding the past five years. Their team name is “On Your Left.” This was the first year for all three generations biking together.

The ride began in Cherry Hill, N.J. and ended on 6th Street in Ocean City, N.J. The day was filled with emotion that is hard to describe. There are people lined up on all the streets cheering us on and thanking us for what we had done. With more than 7,000 cyclists, we were able to raise more than $4 million in one weekend to help in the fight to make this an MS free world.

This year marked the 36th year of the City to Shore bike ride.

A great big thank you goes out to our following sponsors: Tompkins Financial Corporation, David Doll of Edward Jones, Dorothy Balthaser, Patricia VanBuskirk, Jim Gilmartin, VFW Post 216, Lee and Pat Degler and Arlene Postupak. We look forward to participating for years to come.
