A 25-year-old West Reading woman was indecently assaulted by a man who was giving her a ride at about 1 p.m. on Oct. 19.
State Police Hamburg report that the victim accepted a ride from a man described as having blonde hair, being in his 30s with a tattoo on his right hand.
She was picked up on Penn Avenue in West Reading. While seated in the vehicle, the driver began to grab at the woman’s private areas outside her clothing, according to the police report.
While approaching Glen Gery Brick Corp. on Route 61 in Perry Township, the driver slowed down the vehicle for an unknown reason. At this time the victim opened the door and jumped out. She remained at that location until State Police arrived.
The suspect was driving a sky blue passenger car with a loud muffler.
