A national writer on Alzheimer’s disease will speak at The Lutheran Home at Topton at 6 p.m. Nov. 2.
Patti Kerr, author of “I Love You …Who Are You?,” will provide practical advice for people caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease.
“Ms. Kerr’s book is a guide for anyone caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease,” says Connie Hartman of The Lutheran Home staff. “At our event, she will share her personal experience, as well as offer insights, advice, tips and stories from other sons, daughters, grandchildren and professionals who have cared for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.”
Advice provided at the event, Hartman says, will focus on the first steps every caregiver should take, talking with children and grandchildren about Alzheimer’s disease, addressing difficult behaviors, and “finding joy in the journey.”
To RSVP or for more information, people should call The Lutheran Home at Topton at 610-682-1350.
