Fleetwood Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1956 earned their First Aid badge.
The girls invited nurse Sue Grimes to attend their meeting and teach them some important First Aid skills. She also reviewed the importance of calling 911 and when they should call and what to say in an emergency.
Nurse Grimes talked about staying safe when giving first aid and the items that make up a good First Aid kit. Their troop leader, Misty Steinert, provided all the essentials for each girl to make up her own First Aid kit.
The girls in the troop learned how to treat minor injuries like cuts, scrapes and bruises as well as outdoor injuries such as bug bites, bee stings, sunburn and poison oak/ivy.
