Two men posing as electricians stole cash from a Maxatawny home and then locked the homeowners in the basement.

State Police Reading report that at 1:48 p.m. on Nov. 21, two men arrived at a home on Kohler Road in Maxatawny and posed as electricians. While inside, the one man distracted the homeowners, ages 77 and 85, while the other man stole about $200 in cash from a bedroom. The two men then locked the victims in the basement and fled the scene.

The two men are described to be in their 30s. One was wearing a plaid jacket while the other had facial hair and was wearing a dark jacket and grey pants. There are believed to have been driving a black SUV Escalade or Suburban.
