HONEY BROOK >> Hickory House Nursing Home, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Honey Brook, is welcoming a new executive director, Jason Auge.

“Jason is an innovative leader with many years of experience and success in the field,” said Alain Bernard, regional vice president of parent company Life Care Centers of America’s Walden Region, which encompasses nine facilities in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. “He brings a level of enthusiasm and expertise that will extend our outreach in the community and open up new opportunities for the local area.”

Before stepping into this position, Auge served as administrator at Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in West Reading, Pennsylvania, for eight years. Prior to that appointment, he was administrator at Crestview Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, for a year and a half. He started his career in long-term care as a housekeeping and laundry supervisor, and he now has 18 years of experience serving seniors.

“I love the people we take care of,” said Auge. “It’s always been fascinating to me talking to the residents, talking to people who have participated in and survived great moments in history.”

Originally from Pottstown, Auge earned his degree in business management from Millersville University in Lancaster. He currently lives in Reading with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter.
