Jan. 15The Boyertown Area Historical Society: will lay a wreath on the graves of the 25 unidentified victims of the tragic Opera House fire at the Fairview Cemetery, W. Philadelphia Ave, Boyertown, on Sunday, January 15 at 1 PM to commemorate that heartbreaking event in 1908 that killed 170 people. The public is invited, and descendants of those victims are encouraged to share family memories passed down through the years.

Jan. 15The Boyertown Lions Club: Basket/Purse Bingo will be held at the Keystone Fire Company, Walnut & Spring St., Boyertown. Doors open at 1 p.m.. Play starts at 2 p.m. Admission gives you 20 games of bingo. Additional special games may be purchased. Door Prizes. Refreshments will be sold. Jan.16New Hanover AARP: meets on Monday, Jan. 16 at the New Hanover Lutheran Church, Lutheran Road, Gilbertsville. Optional social time with a bring-your-own bag lunch (beverage and desserts provided) is at 12:30. Entertainment will be provided by Maria Damore –Vocalist. Jan. 28Pancake breakfast: Bally Mennonite Church, Route 100 in Bally, will be serving a Pancake breakfast including pancakes, French toast, sausage, scrapple, OJ, tea, & coffee in the Church Fellowship hall on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 7 to 11 a.m. The cost is a donation. Proceeds from this pancake breakfast will provide funds for the Bally Community Preschool, which provides an excellent early childhood education experience for 3-5 year olds, in a Christian environment.
