A driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic, leading to the collision of two vehicles on Route 183 in Penn Township, sending seven people to the hospital on Nov. 25.
State Police Reading report that Gary Baldwin, 27, Havre De Grace, Md., was driving west on Route 183 at 7:40 p.m. While attempting to turn left onto Robesonia Road, Baldwin failed to yield to oncoming traffic. As a result, Baldwin’s Chrysler Town and Country struck a Chevy Cobalt driven by Johnny Rivera, 28, Springfield, Ma.
All seven people were transported to Reading Hospital for medical evaluations. Injuries ranged from suspected minor injury to unknown severity. Seat belts and child safety seat were used.
Both vehicles were disabled.Baldwin will be cited.
