A tractor trailer jackknifed on Interstate 78 in Greenwich Township, causing the driver to lose control.
State Police Hamburg report that at 9:54 p.m. on Nov. 30, Francis Nolan, Jr., 52, Canton, Ga., was driving a Kenworth T68 tractor trailer east on I-78 in the right lane when the rear trailer started to jackknife causing Nolan to lose control of the vehicle at mile marker 35.8 in Greenwich Township. The truck swerved left across both lanes and struck the center median and continued east for a short distance coming to rest in the left lane.
Nolan sustained suspected minor injury. He was wearing a seat belt. His passenger, not wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
Nolan will be cited for not driving on roadway laned for traffic.
