Brandywine Heights Community Task Force is inviting the community to join them for Christmas Caroling and their annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 4 p.m.

The event kicks off at the park and pavilion next to the Topton Borough with a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus and lighting of the community Christmas tree. Then participants will divide into groups and walk through Topton singing Christmas carols before meeting up at Trinity Lutheran Church at 121 South Home Avenue for cookies and hot chocolate. Everyone is invited and welcome to join the festive occasion.

The Brandywine Heights Community Task Force is asking participants to bring a non-perishable item to the tree lighting ceremony. All food items collected will be donated to the Brandywine Food Pantry located at St. Peter’s UCC Church.

“This event continues to exemplify the wonderful commitment to our community as friends and neighbors gather to celebrate during this holiday season,” said Brandywine Heights Superintendent Andrew Potteiger, President of the Brandywine Community Task Force Board. “Bring your family and join us.”

The Brandywine Heights Community Task Force is a non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference by building a stronger community through education, engagement and outreach.
