Fleetwood High School students of the month for December are Adrian Alicea and Kortney Rentschler.
Adrian AliceaAdrian is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luis Alecia of Fleetwood. Adrian’s future plans include attending Millersville University to major in Secondary Education with a focus in English. Adrian has been involved in the following clubs at Fleetwood Area High School: Track and Field, Cross Country, Chess Club, The Tiger Times Newspaper, Relay for Life and Future Business Leaders of America. Also, Adrian supports his community by dedicating his time as a volunteer to the Relay for Life Club and assists many of their events. Adrian really admires Patrick Rothfuss. Adrian states that Patrick Rothfuss is an amazing author, a wonderful storyteller, and a caring individual who is willing to work to make the world better. He has his own charity called “World Builders” which partners with “Heifer International” and puts much of his own time and effort to ensure the spread of this good cause.
Kortney RentschlerKortney is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Rentschler of Fleetwood. Kortney’s future plans include attending college for nursing and becoming a nurse practioner. Kortney has been involved in the following clubs/activities at Fleetwood Area High School: National Honor Society, Soccer and Future Business Leaders of American (FBLA). Also, Kortney has dedicated herself to the community by being actively involved in volunteering in the youth soccer program by being a coach and in FBLA by volunteering in their community service projects. The two people Kortney admires most are her parents. Kortney states her parents are the hardest working people she knows and they always push her to reach the goals she sets.
