Pokemon League ( Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30): 5 to 7 p.m. Trading Card Games to earn points for Promo Cards and Badges. Challenge other Pokemon Trading Card Game fans to matches. All ages and experience levels are welcome. No cost involved.

Jan. 5The Lehigh Valley Kennel Club: has announced the semi-finalist winners of its First Annual Story Telling Contest entitled ” You Won’t Believe What My Dog Did!” The students come from area school districts with the seven semi-finalists representing three: The Bethlehem Area School District, the Northwestern-Lehigh School District and the Kutztown Area School District. The semi-finalists are Josh Christiansen, Christopher Hippensteel, Juliana Maffea, Maggie Mauro, TJ Schaeffer, Brandon Smeltz and Zoe Weidman. They will now tell their “tales” before a panel of judges just prior to the LVKC monthly meeting on Jan. 5 during the Guest Speakers segment. All are welcome to come hear their stories at the Ramada Inn, 1500 MacArthur Road, Whitehall from 7:30 to 8 p.m. If they choose, guests, may remain for the general meeting which begins after a short break. Through Jan. 29Kutztown Area Historical Society Model Railroad Open House: will be held Sundays Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29, 1-3 p.m. at Normal Avenue and Whiteoak Street in Kutztown.The highly detailed, 500 square foot HO scale model railroad will be open for visitors young and old. A bustling city, amusement park, rural countryside, bridges, mountains, lakes, and streams are all on display. Children can have fun with interactive controls for Thomas the Tank and other trains.
