On “Sealant Saturday,” Montgomery County Community College dental hygiene students and members of the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist’s Association (PDHA) will provide free sealants as part of PDHA’s “Sealant Saturday” statewide outreach program. This event will be held on Feb. 11 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for children ages 6-14 in the College’s Dental Hygiene Clinic.
Complimentary screenings, sealants and free toothbrushes will be offered to the children. The services include oral exams completed by licensed dentists, placement of sealants by registered dental hygienists in conjunction with the dental hygiene students, fluoride treatments, and oral health care instructions.
Dental sealants are a thin, clear, protective barrier placed on children’s’ permanent teeth to help prevent future dental decay.
Space is limited so call Montgomery County Community Dental Hygiene Clinic to make an appointment, or call 215-641-6483 for more information. The Dental Hygiene Clinic is located at 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
