Organizers for the 6th annual Food for Families Fundraiser, which benefits the Twin Valley Food Pantry, seek donations for event prizes from local businesses.
In its 6th year, the two-day fundraising event will be held Feb. 3 from 3 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown.
“We invite local businesses to help us support the pantry specifically through gift cards which are an easy and helpful way because those packages are among the most popular,” said one of the event organizers, Cindy Petersheim.
So far, this year’s local donors include Erie Insurance, Himalayan Salt and Wellness Cave, Paulski’s Tire and Auto Service,Dr. John Perry, Sam Waters Photography, Morgantown Beverage, Just Mom’s, Morgantown Coffee House, French Creek Golf Club, and Phoenix Rehabilitation.
“It’s a great event for Valentine gift shopping while at the same time helping to feed local families in need,” said Petersheim. “General public is invited to stop and buy from the vendors, purchase prize chances, or bid on the silent auction items.”
