CUMRU TOWNSHIP >> The Animal Rescue League of Berks County will be having and Open House at the shelter at 58 Kennel Road, on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Guests are invited to bring their pets for an open, green-screen background, pet photo booth, compliments of Partymasterz (photo booth pictures are available for a $5 donation). Local artist Jan Gaul will be on hand for a live painting of one of an ARL Adoptables from the “Sweetest ARL Adoptable” Facebook contest. Merchandise will be for sale in the ARL lobby for your special Valentine including Sparkling Art prints by local artist Nettie Price. Door prizes and refreshments will be available for guests.
The Animal Rescue League of Berks County is the only open admission shelter in Berks County accepting more than 6,500 animals annually. The shelter runs at maximum capacity throughout the year, providing adoption programs, spay/neuter clinics, community outreach, education, animal welfare investigation and more. The ARL’s mission is to impact all aspects of humane treatments of animals through quality service, accommodation and education of pet owners and the community.
