Vehicle drives through red light, struck by truck at 662, 222 intersection

A 70-year-old Lenhartsville resident drove through a red light on Route 662 at the Route 222 intersection, striking a tractor trailer truck headed north on Route 222.

Fleetwood Borough Police report that at 12:17 p.m. on Jan. 17, Kathryn Stamm, 70, Lenhartsville, was driving north on Route 662 in Richmond Township when she drove through the red traffic light at the Route 222 intersection, at which time her vehicle was struck by a northbound tractor trailer truck driven by Ryan Wetzel, 29, Lebanon.

Stamm was transported to Reading Hospital by Fleetwood EMS for injuries.

The roadway remained open during the incident.

Fleetwood EMS, Walnuttown and Fleetwood fire companies and fire police assisted on scene.
